Mark Kingston, Chief Executive

Mark Kingston joined the Agency in 2018 as chief executive, having spent more than 20 years working in children’s services. Previously he worked for Action for Children where he specialised in family placements. Mark is a qualified Social Worker and has a Postgraduate Certificate in Social Services Management from Birmingham University.

Lyn Taylor, Registered Manager for the Fostering Service (South)

Lyn joined Community Foster Care at the end of July 2014, having worked in children’s services for 34 years. This work covered residential, preventative work, foster carer training and assessing and verifying NVQs. Lyn was also very fortunate to be a tutor for Kate Cairns online training. Lyn has worked in a Local Authority fostering and adoption team and has been a Registered Manager for another Independent Fostering Agency.

Emma Weaver, Registered Manager for the Fostering Service (North)

Emma Weaver joined Community Foster Care in 2012. Prior to this she worked for 12 years for a Local Authority, initially as a children and families social worker in the fieldwork team. Emma has also worked as a senior adoption support worker, involved in the delivery of training programmes for prospective and existing adoptive parents and foster carers, as well as providing therapeutic support to children with attachment and behavioural difficulties.

Sasha Hart, Family Care Manager

Sasha studied at Cardiff University where she gained her degree in Psychology in 2008. Since then she has worked with children and young people in children’s centres, schools and in a youth work setting. She also worked at Cafcass as a Family Support Worker where she focused on enabling the voice of the child to be heard in family law proceedings. She is very interested in supporting children and families to stay together and has a special interest in working with groups and with children to support their emotional health.

Dan Whitson-Jones, Business Development Manager

Dan joined Community Foster Care in November 2016, having spent six years as a member of CFC's Fostering Panel. Prior to this he was Deputy CEO for a transition charity who offered supported accommodation to homeless young people and those with mental health issues. Dan is a qualified youth and community worker and spent five years working for Young Gloucestershire where he managed their county-wide youth work provision.
