Sarah Hilton DipSW, Senior Practitioner, Gloucestershire

Sarah is a qualified social worker who looks after our foster carers in Gloucestershire and the children placed with them. She also undertakes support work with teenage girls. Sarah has a number of interesting hobbies including belly dancing and she is an avid Arsenal supporter!

Rebecca Robson, Senior Supervising Social Worker, Lancashire

Rebecca qualified as a Social Worker in 2010. During her studies, Rebecca completed placements with Cumbria Children’s Rights and Participation Team, Lancashire’s Leaving Care team and finished her placements working with homeless adults. Rebecca has been a Social Worker in the Child Protection and Court team for the last four years working in Cumbria and then Lancashire. She joined Community Foster Care in September 2018.

Jane Franklin, Supervising Social Worker, Gloucestershire

Jane Franklin took up social work when her two daughters were teenagers. She trained as a social worker at the University of Gloucestershire and qualified in 2008. She went on to qualify as a counseller a few years later. Her career includes 13 years as an Accident Investigation Technician for Gloucestershire County Council.

Kelly was brought up in Bristol and has a degree in Social Work from the University of Glamorgan in Cardiff. After her degree, Kelly spent more than three years working for North Somerset Council, dealing with every aspect of social care including family support, child protection, adoption and family breakdown.

Loren worked in the Cumbria office on a student placement prior to joining the Lancaster Office as a Placement Support Worker in June 2015. Following her graduation, she was appointed to the post of Supervising Social Worker in September 2015.

Cally is our Placement Support Worker and undertakes direct work and activities with young people. She worked for Swindon’s Looked After Children Education Service for nine years and at a behavioural school for a year before joining CFC. Cally is based in our Wootton Bassett office.

Vivian works in the Cumbria Office as a Placement Support Worker, supporting the foster carers, young people and children in care. She works directly with the young people as well as arranging activities which take place mostly during the school holidays.

Kate Beacham - Support Worker, Gloucestershire

Kate has been working with children and young people across different settings for several years and has lots of experience in supporting children across the age ranges. Her experience has spanned from supporting children in a nursery setting to more challenging work with teenagers in a residential setting.

Gemma Nield - Support Worker, Gloucestershire

Gemma has a degree in Early Childhood Studies from Gloucester University which has supported her knowledge in child development and helps to inform her work with children and families. She has a wealth of experience with both 0-5 and school aged children and is able to work flexibly to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and families.

Sheila Henshaw, Business Support Officer, Lancashire

Sheila joined us in 2012 and is responsible for all admin functions and for ensuring the smooth running of our office in Lancashire.  Sheila is a keen runner and takes part in regular 10K events and undertook her first, and last, endurance challenge in 2014.
