Community Partnerships

Community Foster Care is committed to working in partnership with other charities and social enterprises in our communities who can 'add value' to the services we offer local authorities. In short, this means additional activities and resources for all our children and young people whether they are fostered or the foster families birth children, as well as the foster carers themselves.

We promote all our training for staff and foster carers on the local voluntary action group website so that small organisations can attend our sessions. We also provide places on some of our training courses for local authorities and independent foster care agencies operating in our regions. This all makes for good multi-agency training where we can all benefit from each other's experience.

Our goal is to increase the number of partners we work with over the next five years and to build relationships in the regions where we start up new branches.

Our current partners are:

GL1 Sports Centre

Gloucester Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers (GARAS)

Gloucestershire Mini-Bus Scheme

Together in Matson

Young Gloucestershire

We are also members of:

Gloucestershire Action for Voluntary and Community Groups (GAVCA)

Fostering Through Social Enterprise (FtSE)

Investors in People

Social Enterprise Mark
