About us

Photo of girl and parentCommunity Foster Care is a charity and social enterprise established in 1999 in neighbourhood projects to provide professional foster care.

As the charity continues to grow, foster carers are continually recruited from Gloucestershire and Swindon, including socially and economically disadvantaged areas in order to provide a range of placements for children in need. There are many benefits to this, including bringing regeneration to the region and keeping children in their familiar environment. There is no qualification bar to fostering with Community Foster Care - as long as you have time, tolerance, patience, resilience and will work in partnership with a number of different agencies all working together to benefit the children, then we would like to hear from you. We regularly run training courses for potential foster carers and you will have the opportunity to speak to some of our current foster carers who will tell you why they enjoy working with Community Foster Care.

Our second branch opened in Cumbria in April 2009 and is very busy, we are recruiting both staff and foster carers in that area.  You can find out how to get in touch by going to News; developments; vacancies.
