Supervising Social Worker (Full Time), Staunton, Gloucestershire
£25,000 – 35,400 pa dependent upon experience

The post holder will be supporting foster carers who have children placed on a long term, short term or respite basis and will also take part in the team's activities to recruit and retain foster carers. The area covered by the South office is large but foster carers are in cluster groups which reduces travel. Foster carers receive regular supervision and training with support groups undertaken by the Placement Support Team.  Regular activities, some of which involve Trustees and the CEO, take place throughout the year. Community Foster Care prides itself on being a charitable foster agency which feels like a large family.

The postholder will be part of a small but energetic team of Supervising Social Workers and Placement Support Workers who all ensure the child is at the focus of all we do. Community Foster Care is purchasing KEEP Training from OSLC, Portland, USA in September 2013 and will be the first foster care agency in the UK to become part of the project and contribute to the science programme and data collection both in the UK and USA.
