Our aim is to improve the life chances and choices of all children and young people placed with us.
Community Foster Care submits an Expression of Interest indicating how the expected outcomes for the child are going to be met by our team of staff and foster carers.
When a referral for a placement and details of the child are sent to us we share this information with the proposed foster carer before we put them forward. It is very important that nothing is withheld so that everyone is confident that the foster carers, with support, can meet the child’s needs as outlined by the placing authority. Matching the foster carer and the child is paramount to ensure a happy placement and positive outcomes.
Our aim is to improve the life chances and choices of all children and young people placed with us. ‘The child being the centre of all we do’ is the motto of Community Foster Care and our commitment to ensuring all our services remain child-centred is absolute and regularly challenged.
To do this we recruit people who understand children and young people and who can appreciate the effect that trauma and abuse has had upon their development.
Foster carers who are nurturing, warm, and extremely patient can see the most fantastic rewards as children and young people start making progress and believe they can have a good future.
