Find out about foster care in Preston on September 8

7 September 2017 | CFC News

An information session about fostering will be held at Deepdale Shopping Park in Preston on Friday September 8.

Staff from the charity Community Foster Care, based in Lancaster, are holding an open session from 10am to 4pm.

“If you’ve ever considered fostering, please come along for a chat,” said Registered Manager with CFC, Emma Weaver. “Our staff will be happy to answer questions about what’s involved.

“Fostering can be a life-changing experience. There’s lots of help to get you started and support every step of the way.”

There are more than 1,300 children in Lancashire in need of foster carers who can offer stability and security, and the number is rising.

Foster carers come from all walks of life and can be single, married or divorced, male or female. They must be aged 25-plus and in good health.

Community Foster Care is a not-for-profit agency. “If you want to join an organisation that feels like a large family with a high level of support, that is what we are about,” said Emma.
