Awards are part of a big thankyou to all our carers

17 December 2018 | CFC News

Heaps of praise and heartfelt thanks went out to carers at Community Foster Care’s annual awards events.

Carers from Gloucestershire and Wiltshire received an award as a token of CFC’s appreciation at a lunch held at the Corinium Hotel in Cirencester.

We’re very grateful to the Mayor of Gloucester, Cllr Joanne Brown, who presented the awards. She also voiced admiration for the dedication and commitment shown by our carers.

We’d like to echo her thanks for the courage and tenacity all our carers show in helping the young people to achieve so much.

The annual Christmas meal for Lancashire carers was held at Greaves Park in Lancaster when 13 carers and seven members of staff got together, as well as two of our smaller young people who squeezed us into their busy Christmas schedules.

The carers all participated in a secret Santa scheme. They were also were presented with cards and gift vouchers by CEO Mark Kingston who thanked them all for their hard work and commitment.

Our Cumbria carers enjoyed a lovely meal at The Galloping Horse in Workington and were given cards and vouchers to thank them for all they do throughout the year.
