Loren Hannah from CFC receives cheque from freemason Mark Gibson

The Freemasons showed their generosity when Community Foster Care asked if they could help with a charity donation.

The St John’s Lodge Workington donated a cheque for £250.

Loren Hannah, Supervising Social Worker with Community Foster Care, based in Peart Road, Workington, accepted the cheque from Mason Mark Gibson.

The money will be used by CFC to fund activities for looked-after children.

“We’re really grateful to the St John’s Lodge. Their cheque will help provide children with lots more great opportunities and fun life experiences,” said Loren.

The not-for-profit agency provides foster carers for children all over Cumbria.

There are more than 600 children in care in Cumbria. Foster carers come from all walks of life and can be male or female, single, married or divorced. They must be over 25 and in generally good health.
