Community Foster Care has won a one-year contract to provide a targeted youth service across Melksham for Wiltshire Council.

The £10,000 contract, won by competitive tender, will mean providing one-to-one support for young people, aged 13-19, identified as needing help to prevent problems escalating and who are not accessing other services.

“We’re excited to expand our provision into Melksham, enabling more young people to realise their ambitions,” said Chief Executive of Community Foster Care Mark Kingston.

“We are confident that our experience of supporting young people gives us an understanding of the complex dynamics at play for young people and a unique insight into different ways of working to achieve outcomes.

“We’re looking forward to taking a tenacious and innovative approach to working with young people in Melksham.

“We have a broad range of experience across different aspects of provision for young people to draw upon combined with a passion for enabling the voice of young people.”

Community Foster Care provides bespoke support services for children and families, building on families’ strengths to help make positive change and bring about lasting outcomes. It is an independent, not-for-profit agency which includes Community Family Care.
