Becoming A Foster Carer

Welcome to Community Foster Care

Community Foster Care is a not-for-profit foster care agency which provides foster care placements for local children in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Swindon, West Cumbria and Lancashire.

Are you thinking about fostering?

We are looking for people who are considering fostering. There are nearly 8,000 children in the areas we operate in that are in need of foster carers who can offer stability and security, and the number is rising.

Becoming a foster carer is easier than you think. Foster carers come from all walks of life and can be male or female, single, married or divorced. They must be over 25 and in generally good health.

We offer lots of training and support to get foster carers started. And once you’re accepted as a foster carer with us, we are there with you every step of the way, providing the best supervision, support and resources possible and enabling you to meet the children’s needs.

We’d love to hear from you if you are thinking of fostering and would like to offer a child a safe and welcoming home.

Please get in touch using the contact form on this page, or contact staff at one of our offices.

If you would like to find out more about fostering before getting touch, please take a look at our FAQs, read some of our foster carer profiles and find out why people choose Community Foster Care.
