Find out about foster care – info day at ASDA in Fleetwood, Friday August 15

8 August 2014 | CFC News

Shoppers might want to take a break to chat about fostering when they visit ASDA in Fleetwood on Friday August 15.

Staff from the charity Community Foster Care, based at Nateby, will be running an information stand all day at the store in Back Cop Lane.

“We hope that anyone considering fostering will make time to have a quick chat,” said Office Manager Sheila Henshaw.

There are more than 1,300 children in Lancashire in need of foster carers who can offer stability and security, and the number is rising.

Foster carers come from all walks of life and can be single, married or divorced; male or female. They must be aged 25-70.

Community Foster Care is a not-for-profit agency which matches carers with children. “If you want to join an agency that feels like a large family with a high level of support, that is what we are about,” said Sheila.
