Potential foster carers are being invited to an open day to find out more.

Barton Grange Garden Centre in Garstang Road, Brock, is hosting the event from 11am - 3pm this Sunday August 17.

Staff from the charity Community Foster Care will be on hand to answer any questions.

Emma Weaver, registered manager of CFC, Nateby, said: "It's an opportunity for anyone interested to have an informal chat whilst the children are entertained."

There are more than 1,300 children in Lancashire in need of foster carers, and the number is rising. Foster carers come from all walks of life and can be single, married or divorced; male or female. They must be aged 25-70.
