Potential foster carers are being invited to an open day to find out more.
Barton Grange Garden Centre in Garstang Road, Brock, near Preston, is hosting the event from 11am - 3pm on Sunday August 17.
Staff from the charity Community Foster Care (CFC) will be there.
Emma Weaver, registered manager of CFC, based at Nateby, said: "It's an opportunity for anyone interested in fostering to have an informal chat whilst the children are entertained.
"If you want to join an agency that feels like a large family with a high level of support, that is what we are about."
There are more than 1,300 children in Lancashire in need of foster carers, and the number is rising. Foster carers come from all walks of life and can be single, married or divorced; male or female. They must be aged 25-70.
