Our Meet our Carer events are great opportunity to gain valuable insight into the rewarding world of fostering.
When people first think about fostering, their minds often go to the children: those who need safe, nurturing environments to grow, heal, and thrive. But just as vital to that picture are the dedicated individuals and families who open their homes and hearts to young people. At the heart of our charity are our foster carers, each with a unique story, background, and commitment to making a lasting difference.
We know that considering becoming a foster carer is a big decision. It’s not just about offering a spare room; it’s about being present, supportive, and patient. That’s why we believe the best way to understand what fostering involves is by hearing directly from those already doing it. Meeting real foster carers, either in person or at one of our local foster care informational meetings, provides invaluable insight. You’ll hear about the rewards, the challenges, and the everyday experiences that make fostering such a meaningful journey.
As a not-for-profit Independent Fostering Agency, we operate differently from many others. Our purpose isn’t financial gain, it’s about community, care, and supporting both children and carers. Our approach is deeply rooted in values like integrity, tenacity, and compassion. This shared ethos is what draws so many brilliant carers to us. They aren’t just providing temporary accommodation; they’re part of a supportive network committed to helping children reach their full potential.
Our online events are held every third Wednesday of the month - the next will be on Wednesday 18 June, 6pm and will give you the opportunity to meet our carers as they share their fostering experience with you.
