Why not walk to support fostering on Sunday May 15?

15 March 2016 | Fostering News

If you fancy doing a bit of leg work to support fostering, you might be interested in Foster Walk 2016.

The Fostering Network is organising a series of family-friendly sponsored walks across the UK, one of which takes place in Cheltenham on Sunday May 15.

It is the Fostering Network's flagship fundraising event aimed at celebrating foster care and raising money to help the organisation to continue its work transforming fostered children’s lives.

The 5k event at Endsleigh Park, Cheltenham offers a chance for fostering families, fostering services, friends and supporters to get together for a day out. It will be followed by refreshments and an afternoon of games for all the family.

Just one more thing – they’re asking everyone to wear orange.

Registration is £11.99 for a family and £5.99 for individuals. The fundraising target is £75 per family or £25 per individual.

Fostering Network is the umbrella organisation for most carers across the UK. It lobbies the Government and local authorities and provides training.
