Christina - Child Psychotherapist
Christina has over 25 years of experience working with children and young people with a focus on looked after children.
Christina graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Psychology and qualified as a psychotherapist in 2004. She worked in CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service) for 20 years and for the last 11 of these she jointly led the Thinking Allowed specialist CAMHS team for adopted and looked after children in Bristol. Since leaving CAMHS in 2023 she has continued to work with fostered and adopted children and families through Adoption West and is also employed as the clinical lead for The Harbour, a charity providing therapy to people who are dying, whose loved ones are dying or who have been bereaved. She has been working with Community Foster Care since 2018.
Christina works with our foster carers to help guide and provide understanding of the challenging behaviours and situations that can present in fostered children.
