Please come and talk about foster carer. That’s the message from staff at Community Foster Care who will be at the Freeport Fleetwood shopping centre in Anchorage Road on Thursday June 7 from 12.30pm to 3.30pm.
“We hope that shoppers will come and have a chat,” said Emma Weaver, Registered Manager with CFC, a charity based in Quarry Road, Lancaster.
There are more than 1,300 children in Lancashire in need of foster carers who can offer stability and security, and the number is rising.
Foster carers come from all walks of life and can be single, married or divorced, male or female. They must be aged 25-plus.
Community Foster Care is a not-for-profit agency which matches carers with children all over Lancashire. “If you want to join an agency that feels like a large family with a high level of support, that is what we are about,” said Emma.
