Carron - Senior Supervising Social Worker, Gloucestershire (She/Her)

Hi, I’m Carron! Prior to going to university to study social work, I worked in a psychiatric residential unit before, eventually, leaving to have a family. I was also a full time carer for a family member.

I qualified initially as a nursery nurse and then moved on to university. I qualified from the University of the West of England in 2007 with a BSc Hons in social work. 

I have worked as a social worker in Bristol and South Gloucestershire in locality children’s teams, duty, fostering and adult care. I have also worked for an IFA in the South West area. More recently I was the supervising social worker for the parent and child fostering service within Bristol City Council. I am looking forward to coming back to fostering and working in the Gloucester office with the team there.
