Introducing: Storyteller - Your Community News Blog

Despite what the weather might be saying, spring is upon us and that means new life! So what better time than to figuratively birth our new community news blog, Storyteller?!

So what’s been going on in the CFC community, I hear you ask?

Back in February we ran a Valentine’s art competition for our children and young people and this beautiful rose was the winner!

For World Book Day 2022 one of our fantastic foster families shared some gorgeous snaps of their young people in their outfits.

Here we have Jo from Little Women, The Cat in the Hat and Goldilocks!

Seeing the smiling faces of our young people having fun and getting the chance to dress up and just be children will never stop being one of the best parts of our job.

Our Practice Manager, Loren, in Cumbria is expecting a baby and she was so thrilled to receive this beautiful handmade card from a young person she works with.

“I just had to share the lovely card I got today from one of our young people. So thoughtful. Brought a tear to my eye.”

A little boy, D, who quite often visits the office with his support worker, recently made this lovely artwork about ‘His Happy Place’ being the office *cannot cope*. For those of us who work more in the office and have less direct contact with our young people, this was just so touching!

… and finally, a big welcome to our new starters, Rae, Niamh and Kelly!

Rae is a returning team member, having worked at CFC for six years previously, she now returns to the Gloucester office as Support Coordinator.

Niamh has joined the Lancaster office as Support Worker and comes well equipped, in terms of experience, as she is a birth child of one of our fostering families!

Kelly joins CFC in the Gloucester office as our new Marketing Assistant. Kelly is super over qualified for this role but was looking for a step down to balance and fit around her life of being a mum to two boys!
